Materials Needed
l Colored crepe paper (main flower color)
l Scissors
l Pencil
l Craft glue
l Cardstock or plain paper (for base circle)
Draw a simple petal shape on the crepe paper and cut it out.
Each flower requires 8 petals.
Also cut a thin strip of yellow crepe paper for the flower center.
Make a small vertical cut (about 1 cm) at the bottom center of each petal.
Do not cut too far — this slit helps shape the petal.

Apply a small amount of glue to one side of the slit.
Overlap the two cut edges slightly and press them together.
This creates a natural curved shape, giving the petal dimension.
Repeat for all 8 petals.

Cut a small circle from cardstock or thick paper.
This will act as the base for assembling the flower.
Apply glue around the edge of the circle.
Take 4 petals and glue them evenly around the base circle.
Arrange them in a cross pattern so they are spaced equally.
Glue the remaining 4 petals on top, positioning them between the gaps of the first layer.
This layered arrangement makes the flower look fuller and more natural.
Take the yellow paper strip.
Cut small, even fringes along one long side of the strip.
Apply glue along the uncut edge.
Roll the strip tightly from one end to the other.
Secure the end with a little extra glue.
Glue the rolled yellow center into the middle of the petals.
Gently spread and fluff the fringed edges to resemble stamens.
