1. Prepare the tools and materials for making lanterns.
2. Fold the square pastel colored paper in half. Fold it sideways again. Fold it vertically again.
3. Fold it in half horizontally again, and it will become a small square.
4. Put the big bottle cap on the small square and draw a circle with a pencil on tissue paper.
Use scissors to cut down the pencil line, and you can cut many round tissue paper confetti at a time.
Stack these round tissue paper confetti together and fold them in half.
Wrap the thread around the diameter of the circle a few times, tie the knot, and then cut the thread.
5. Cut two pieces of paper from the orange color paper, one narrow and one wide.
6. Bend the narrow one. Be the lantern. The wide strip is cut into many small strips and used as lantern spikes.
7. Glue the lantern handle and the lantern spike to the two ends of the pink disc with a glue stick.
8. Open the discs on both sides, and a fun and simple lantern is ready.
