Go on a wonderful nature craft and pick up some colorful leaves while you are at it as you’ll need them to make this wonderful lion leaf craft!
Materials Need:
our printable template (you can grab it at the end of this step by step tutorial)
printer
paper (regular print paper is OK, heavier print paper is even better)
real fall leaves
white school glue
scissors
optional – coloring supplies
1,Print out our templates. The template comes on two pages, one with two heads (these are to color and cut), and one sheet with only one head.
2,If you printed your project one white paper, color in the lions head.
You can use markers, crayons or any other coloring medium your kids love coloring with. There is no need to stick with “true” lion colors either.
3,cut them
4,You could leave the petioles where they are or you can cut them off, either way this crafting project will turn out nice. Younger kids can also pluck the petioles.
Modify the crafting process as needed to fit the age group.
5,You can apply glue on the template, adding more as you go and pressing the leaves on it. Leaf by leaf, all around.
6,Lastly, take the lion head you previously colored and apply a generous amount of glue on the back of it.
7,Press it down on your lion leaf craft.
Give it some time for the glue to really set!
