Manila folder tips
Why manila folder or manila envelope?
Because this folder is made of manila paper.
Manila paper originated in the Philippines, so it got its name.
The raw material is Manila hemp.
This kind of Manila hemp was not used to make paper, but to make rope, which shows its strength.
People are more familiar with a kind of paper is kraft paper, the common color is similar to manila paper, mostly brown yellow.
But kraft paper and manila paper are two different kinds of paper.
The earliest kraft paper was really made of cowhide, so it got its name. Now kraft paper is made from wood pulp of spruce or pine,
with the highest strength (stronger than manila paper), so it is often used as wrapping paper.
Color is not the point,
and manila folders come in many colors, not necessarily light yellow or brown.
In short, the various folders you use in your office
are basically manila folder or manila envelope. The brown paper used for packing goods is generally
kraft paper.
